Can i get my wallet drycleaned?

koolkitti70 - 2007-05-28 16:55:32 - Cleaning Laundry

I'd like to know if it's possible to dry clean my wallet. It's very expensive so i want to dry clean it, if possible. Will the drycleaners accept it? The material is nearly the same as this: http://www.branded.net/img/product_items/l/gucci_wallet_1246162333041885.jpg made with jacquard fabric trimmed in leather

Ask the dry cleaners. You have'nt stated what the material is, so how can we help?

most certainly there is a cleaners that will accept it, but be careful as there are situations where it may not be returned to you in the condition you would like. the alternative is to research chemicals safe to use on the material and do it yourself. id most definitely opt for number two here

No. I work at a dry cleaners. Dry cleaning is pretty much like laundry, but it doesn't involve water- only solvent. I'm sure the wallet would lose its shape.

It couldn't hurt to call the dry cleaners first and ask them.

Depends on how much money you leave it. LOL Seriously take it to a few dry cleaners and ask. If they say, "Maybe...", "Well I'm not sure...", "We could try...", then ask at another cleaners. Before you leave it somewhere make sure you understand what they will do if it is damaged in any way.
