woman stuck to toilet...?

Ok I just caught part of this story on the news about a woman who was stuck to a toilet seat for 2 years so I had to get online and see if this was a joke but it was on fox news and there is an article on msnbc. My first thought was wtf, my second thought was this has to be an early April fools joke! Seriously??? On the news they spoke to someone who said that she didn't want to come out so she wouldn't have to see her family! Then why not sit on the toilet, floor, sleep in tub??? They are also looking into abuse...they said her boyfriend was feeding her! What.....prunes??? if she was abused and not eating how would her body grow around the seat? any thoughts?

Why did her boyfriend wait so long to call for help for her.?Obviously she has some severe mental issues. This will definately go down as one of the strangest things I 've ever heard of.

This is one of the strangest stories I've heard. It sounds like there must be some mental illness issues with both the woman and the boyfriend. I can't imagine a sane person in either role.

One significant piece of information was left out of the story. That was the woman's weight relative to her height. I suspect we have a case of someone who was not morbidly obese but tragically obese. In the range of 500+ pounds. That would make her immobile to a degree where she would need assistance in standing erect. It would also explain how her rear end could encompass the circumference of the toilet seat, permitting it to grow onto the seat.

Sounds like someone was trying to set some kind of record. Who is their right mind (maybe she only had a left mind) would do that. Sounds to far out for me to believe.

I'm suspecting some form of mental illness on the lady's part, and perhaps some form of abuse on the boyfriend's part. I can understand her being mentally ill and not wanting to leave the bathroom, if she's not a stable person. What I *can't* fathom is why the boyfriend brought her food and water to the bathroom for TWO YEARS, and didn't call the authorities before now. Sad.

i heard that story on the fox news too, they say that she was stuck on the toilet and the had to send her in the ambulence with the toilet set, i thought it was a joke too. the say she can be in a wheel chair for the rest of her life. they say when they tried to get her up she tore the back of her leg muscle. what the heck are these people thinking?
