networking a wired computer with a wireless connected laptop?

i have a windows xp dell computer wired to a linksys router and a hp laptop running vista wirelessly connected to the internet how do i set up a file/printer sharing network

Having Vista - I'm sorry First, go to the MS website knowledge base. Search networking Vista. Find and install the XP utility that will allow an XP machine to be displayed on a Vista machine Next set up both machines so they have the same work group name Then enable file and print sharing on both computers set the file folders you want to share to shared I recommend you consider upgrading your Vista machine to XP. You'll be glad you did.

Is the laptop connected wirelessy to the linksys router? is there a printer connected to the router? If not, are they all on a common network? If you can update your question with some further detail,I may be able to help you. Jim
