How many would like to see Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews back on the air covering politics?

I was disgusted that NBC caved in to the Right Wing and immediately placed a call and sent a letter out today to voice my concern. Here's some info if you feel the same way: NBC News 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York, N.Y. 10112 (212) 315-9016 Why should hate mongers like O'Really, Rush Limpbaugh, and Hand it to me be allowed to spew lies and Matthews and Olbermann can't counter?

Best Answer:

They never WERE covering politics. Parroting lefty talking points isn't "covering politics."

Obama, Axelrod, Soros, Winfrey for starters...

No problem seeing them doing an op ed type show (like you the list you have of O'Reily Rush, etc.), but posing as "news" they were not very disingenuous. NBC was late in what they did.

Because Fox is a conservative network. They say it quite a bit. Its their thing. NBC was supposed to be more even handed. There was a huge view backlash against the horribly left wing style of ilberman and matthews and the network wished to regain viewers. They didn't "cave to the right-wing media" If anything, they caved to their viewers, ie their meal tickets.

The best thing that could happen to these two is for them to be fired! They neither cover the news but rather spew hate towards all who disagree with their point of view.

Who says it's the Right they're caving to? Olberman, this last week, has been attacking his own kind. He's on mic yelling at Joe Scarborough and Chris Matthews during convention coverage. His journalistic credibility takes a hit every time he goes after anyone specifically, but especially when he goes after his fellow anchors on MSNBC. Basically, if you've got an employee who's bad-mouthing his coworkers in front of the the customers, then you've gotta discipline him. It's not like he was fired; he's just not going to headline the debate coverage.
