I think that's probably the reason he invented it. In fact, this question has inspired me to go and invent the smellophone....not for riches or the betterment of society, but simply to smell women.

According to my research, he invented the phone after frustrating efforts trying to recreate heavy breathing with morse code. I should point out that most of our text books are written by monkeys. And by "research" I mean "made up".

They tell you that the first words spoken over a phone were, "Watson, come here. I need you..." But the rest of what he said has been edited out of the history books. What he REALLY said was, "Watson, come here! I need you to slather yourself in oil and get ready for penetration!" I think anybody who gets to wear a labcoat has some amount of kinky going on.
